York City Council and the University of York are hosting a virtual Holocaust Memorial Day event this year with the theme, "Be the Light in the Darkness." The Keynote speaker will be Ariana Neumann, author of the book "When Time Stopped: My Father's War and What Remains." The new Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, will speak as well, the first time the Archbishop of York will do so at Holocaust Memorial Day. In addition, the York Lord Mayor Cllr Janet Looker, University of York Vice Chancellor Professor Charlie Jeffery, and our student rabbi Gabriel Kanter-Webber will speak as well.
