Religious, political and civic leaders from across York came together to hold a vigil in York Minster on Saturday 11th November to call for peace and an end to the conflict in Israel and Gaza.

The vigil began with a welcome and address from the Very Reverend Dominic Barrington, Dean of York, before reflections are shared by Rachael Maskell, MP for York Central, as well as civic and religious leaders from across the city.
YLJC were represented by our Treasurer, Miriam Hoffman who spoke movingly on our behalf, quoting the text that “he who saves a single human life is as if they have saved a whole world.
