York Jews Plant an Orchard!

Members of York Liberal Jewish Community joined around 20 people from the Friends of West Bank Park, York City Council, the Church of Latter Day Saints and York UrbanBuzz to plan a mini orchard last Saturday to mark Tu Bishvat, the Jewish New Year for Trees.
The aim is to help renew the park and so local people can enjoy the fruit.
The Jewish community received a generous donation to pay for the new trees.
Tina, our Social Action Coordinator, is also planning to go to Homeless Shelter, Arc Light on Saturday 11th February in the afternoon to help with their garden there.
To volunteer to help, for more information or simply to let her know you will be coming to help, please email Tina .
