Our next Shabbat morning service in York will be held on Saturday 18th November and will led by our Student Rabbi for 5778, Gabriel Webber.
This is our annual interfaith service, as part of York’s Interfaith Week, which is an opportunity to help our friends and neighbours understand our beliefs and traditions. As such we expect lots of guests and so are very keen to have a good turn out from our own members. We are also delighted that we will be joined by the Lord Mayor. Other confirmed guests include the Lord Mayor Consort, the Sheriff of York, York Central MP, Rachael Maskell and the Lib Dems Deputy Leader on the Council, Cllr, Stephen Fenton.
The service will begin at 11am at the Friargate Meeting House and will be proceeded by our cheder session for 5-13 year olds, starting promptly at 10am and run by Lauren Keiles and Orly Askew.
The service will be followed by our usual bring-and-share veggie lunch. Please do make a special effort on this occasion so we can provide a great spread for our guests (although if possible please bring contributions that can be eaten with fingers!).
