York Liberal Jewish Community’s Cheder (religion school) operates on the first Saturday of each month in conjunction with our services and is open to all children of school age up to Bar/Bat Mitzvah. The typical time table is:
10am Jewish studies/history
10.45am Break
11am First 30mins of the Service with adults
11.30am Hebrew
12.15 pm Come together for kiddush with parents
The classes are designed to be fun and engaging, with age appropriate activities depending on the children present.
