Passionate, poignant and humorous – folksongs in the Yiddish language were an important part of the life of Jewish people around the world for hundreds of years. The Yiddish Folksong Project is the result of internationally-acclaimed singer Juliana Yaffé’s rediscovery of forty-two remarkable classical arrangements of Yiddish songs by eminent American conductor Robert De Cormier. Accompanied by conductor-pianist John Yaffé and violinist Fenella Humphreys.
