Our membership rates are amongst the cheapest in the country:

| Full – for those who consider themselves Jewish. | £240 | £20 |
| Friend – for those who do not consider themselves Jewish but want to support the community and/or a partner. | £120 | £10 |
| Associate – for those that are full members of another synagogue. | £120 | £10 |
| Student – for those in full time education | No fee payable | |
| Child – for those under the age of 18 | No fee payable | |
The advantages of full membership include:
- Free access to York Liberal Jewish Community events. While we will never charge to attend a Shabbat service and all are welcome, we will from time to time ask non-members for a contribution to educational and other activities to help cover costs – see individual event details for further information
- Access to bursaries of up to £200 per person for all Liberal Judaism Youth events, including Israel Tour and Kadimah summer camp courtesy of the family of Lord Brittan, former Home Secretary and MP for Richmond, North Yorkshire
- Free reciprocal tickets for high holy days and other events at all progressive synagogues anywhere in the country
- Membership of Liberal Judaism nationally with the huge range of activities and events which the organisation offers (see www.liberaljudaism.org for further details)
- Information and rabbinic support for lifecycle events, brit milah, bar mitzvah, marriage and so on.
Friends are those that wish to support the York Liberal Jewish Community – often a partner of a member – but are not Jewish themselves
Associate members are those that pay full membership to another synagogue.
